Peter Mulvey Concert
From BlueRidge
|
“This discs is actually more like a live show than any record I have made. Through the songs and stories on this album, I’m trying to figure out what actually lasts a long time," Mulvey explains. “So it is set up to listen all the way through to take this voyage. I want the listener to hear the end of the album differently than they heard the beginning. It’s a record that’s actually about something. This is an old human statement, I know, but when all else has crumbled, love is the only thing that is real.”
Peter is an avid bicyclist and an advocate of clean sustainable living. “No matter what you do, it’s worth asking yourself if you can do it differently, if you can do it more sustainably. Can I bike to work? Even if ‘work’ takes me a thousand miles? For me, that’s a question that’s been challenging and very, very fun to answer. And it’s a question each of us owes it to future generations to ask.” For the past three years the bicycle has been Peters mode of transportation for his fall tour schedule. Check out Peters Long Haul Tour Blog.
Visiting the bio page on Peter's website you'll read that, "Over the past 20 years, Mulvey has pursued a restless, eclectic path as a writer and musician – immersing himself in Tin PanAlley jazz, modern acoustic, poetry, narrative, and Americana stylings. Relentlessly touring as a headliner – his attitude is, “When you love what you do, you can work all the time,” – he has also shared the stage with luminaries such as Emmylou Harris, Richard Thompson, Ani diFranco, Indigo Girls, and Greg Brown, and has attracted an audience that stretches from Anchorage to Amsterdam."
“Peter Mulvey is consistently the most original and dynamic of the US singer-songwriters to tour these shores. A phenomenal performer with huge energy, a quick fire, quirky take on life, and an extraordinary guitar style. A joy to see.” ~ The Irish Times.

Purchase Artist CDs
Signed merchandise (CDs, books, shirts, etc.) are available for sale directly from the artist at the house concert for $15.00 each (unless otherwise noted).
Purchased items (CDs and books in particular) will be personally signed by the artist. (If we can convince them to kiss the album before we put it in the package, they'll do that too!) PayPal links will be processed through Blue Ridge Cabin Concert Series, and all proceeds (minus PayPal fees) go directly to the artist. Shipping fees will be added to the cost of the purchase and are as follows:
Shipping is $2.50 for one item, $3.50 for 2 items, $4.50 for 3 items, $5.50 for 4 items, and $6.50 for 5 and up items. (International rates are $5 for one item, $9 for 2 items, $12 for 3, $15 for 4 or more items.) We will ship 1st Class unless the total package weight is more than 13 ounces, in which case we will ship media mail (slower). Sorry, we don't offer any faster shipping methods (UPS / FedEx) because the prices tend to be ridiculous. The shipping cost is meant to cover the actual shipping cost and isn't some hidden profit center. You will see the shipping cost when you view your cart or otherwise finalize your order.
If you want the artist to write something special on your item (CDs, books, etc.) please include that in the "Add Special Instructions To Merchant" box. Otherwise, they will try to personalize each CD if we can figure out your name.
