It was truly a "Good Friday" when in Baltimore, Maryland at 8:30 p.m. on April 15, 1960, Norma Lynn Held was born into this world. Born the second child and a 7lb 2oz new daughter to Al & Norma Held. Norma has one older sister, Terri Dougherty, Loganville, Georgia, and one younger brother, Al Held, Anderson, Indiana. She also has three children and their spouses, Jason & Rachel Landers, Mitzi & Greg Merkle, and Nick Jones & Laurie, three step children, Zachary, Caleb, and Austin Bean, and one awesomely cute and adorable grandson, Seth Landers. Oh, and she has five fur kids - Maggie, Katy, Shelby, Lucy, and Gladys.

Norma lived in Maryland till the age of 7 and then moved to South Bend, Indiana where she attended Eggelston Elementary school, and Clay High School. At the age of 17, her family relocated to Snellville, Georgia where she attended and graduated from South Gwinnett High School. At the age of 40 she returned to college and achieved her associate degree in Business Management at Gwinnett Tech.

Theater has always been a passion of Norma's. At an early age, her parents encouraged and provided opportunities for her to pursue this passion. From plays and performances at church, to stage opportunities at school and community theaters in areas where she has lived, Norma has maintained this love for acting and shared it with thousands throughout her many years of performances. She is currently on the role of actresses for the Blue Ridge Community Theater in Blue Ridge, GA.

Norma now resides with her husband (me) Randy Bean, in a little log cabin in McCaysville, GA. We enjoy sitting around the cabin watching movies or driving to Hiawassee to catch the new ones, eating out at good places, hiking and enjoying the mountains and the beautiful area where we live. She is employed at The Sawmill Restaurant in Blairsville, GA and has numerous friends and customers that frequent the restaurant that she loves and appreciates their friendship.

On the Saturday April 17th following Norma's Birthday on the 15th, I will be hosting a party in Norma's honor for this milestone Birthday!! We will have food and fun in a beautiful mountain cabin setting. Come share in this day and celebration with Norma.

Where: The party and celebration will be held at the office of Draper Realty at 8366 Aska Road, Blue Ridge, GA. Good friends, Kip and Shelley Draper have so graciously allowed me to use this cabin for the event. Beautiful cabin setting across from the Toccoa River.
