The railroad depot remains the central focus in downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia. Although the first depot burned, the present station was built in 1906. One of the favorite activities of the day was to meet the train - whether meeting a passenger or just socializing with friends.
This wiki site has been created and developed as a community website depot for Blue Ridge, GA, Fannin County, the surrounding communities, Tri-state area, and all points where these tracks lead; like the rail tracks and rail depots connected cities and people of days past. The Blue Ridge Wiki utilizes the same wikimedia software as is used with Wikipedia. The content on the site is a collaborative effort. Anyone, including non-residence of this area, who would like to be a contributor, are welcome to do so.
